Andy Stapley started restoring Mk1 Escorts in 1998, as a hobby to escape his daytime job in the busy world of motor racing. Having owned a Mk1 Escort as a youngster the passion for classic rally cars never left him.

He has for the past decade been involved continually in the renovation of cars as a hobby and up to date has completed nine standard road cars. These include 4 x RS1600’s, 2 x RS 2000’s, 2 x Mexico’s and 1 x Twin Cam and many of the cars have won awards at the RS Owners Club and AVO National Day’s.

Having had so much success and enjoyed these projects, he has been asked by others to restore vehicles and so this has evolved into a full time business.
